You have probably been hearing and seeing a lot about hemp or CBD and its so-called medicinal properties. But is hemp really all what people make it? In reality, it is. Here are three pretty awesome things about hemp that you probably didn’t know before.
More Complicated Than You Think
Hemp… marijuana… CBD… what is what? Many Americans get confused over what they read on their product labels or what they hear about in the news. It is an easy mistake. Yes, both hemp and CBD come from the cannabis sativa plant, also known as marijuana, but hemp and CBD are different things.
CBD oil can come from multiple parts of the cannabis sativa plant including the stem, the stalk, and the flowers. Hemp is unique because it usually originates from the seeds while CBD is not extracted from the seeds. However, a lot of brands mislabel their products as containing CBD when, in reality, it is only hemp oil. That does not mean that hemp oil isn’t still good for you—it just isn’t technically CBD. Another interesting thing about hemp is that there are 400 different varieties of hemp! So, if you really want to become a hemp or CBD expert, you have quite a bit of researching to do.
More Benefits Than You Know
People are just now beginning to realize all the benefits that come with using hemp or CBD oil. In fact, researchers are still finding new ways in which hemp is beneficial. In reality, hemp probably has a lot more advantages than people know.
You may have already heard of hemp’s ability to help soothe anxiety, increase the body’s ability to relax, and dampen chronic pain. But did you know that hemp seed or CBD oil may have properties that can aid in acne and PMS? And not only that, hemp seeds are great sources of healthy proteins that may reduce heart disease. And CBG also has uses in helping with different disorders/issues. Hemp really is worth a try.
Not only is hemp pretty cool by itself, but it also comes with a pretty interesting history. People have been using marijuana and its oils for thousands of years. Originally, the main hub for hemp oil was in China and other parts of Asia where doctors used the cannabis sativa plants for medical healing purposes. Later, hemp grew popular in the middle east for the same reasons—as well as for religious purposes. So, in reality, the cannabis plant has been popular for ages.
The cannabis sativa plant truly is one cool plant. Not only does its oils have healing properties, but it may be just the thing you need to relieve pain, anxiety, stress, and achieve greater balance in your life. However, before you purchase or use any hemp products, make sure you do your research and look closely at the ingredients so you can ensure that you are getting a quality product.
